Thanks for stopping by our FETC poster session! Below are resources to help you get started using Symbaloo to compile and share digital resources!
We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE using Symbaloo to compile and share all of the great digital resources we find! Keep reading to see how we use Symbaloo in our classrooms, tips and tricks for webmixes, and how to become Symbaloo Certified!
Symbaloo in My Classroom
We have both created and currently use several grade level specific webmixes with our students. Once you create and share a webmix, you can easily add, move, or delete a tile in Symbaloo and then update the webmix. Your webmix users will immediately see the new version! I can update a webmix from home and the next day my students see the new content in class. It makes sharing digital content with students extremely easy!
I also have several stand-alone webmixes for specific curriculum topics. I often begin curriculum and lesson planning by creating a webmix of resources my students will be able to access.
Here are links to some of my topic based webmixes:
Sharing Webmixes
I share the webmixes I create either by embedding on my school website or by sharing a direct link to the Symbaloo site where the webmix is hosted.

The Symbaloo Gallery
You can view your shared webmixes, as well as, search for other shared webmixes in the Symbaloo Gallery. I search the gallery often to find inspiration for different topics and to see what others are using in their classrooms.
Search results will show a small preview of the webmix, a brief description, number of users, a star rating, and a link to view the full size webmix.
Once you find a webmix you like, you can add it to your Symbaloo home page.
Here are some of our favorite finds from the Symbaloo gallery:
- Presidents of the US by Team Symbaloo
- Peep and Chirp by Kinderchat
- Nat Geo Books by Kinderchat
- Wonderopolis by Kinderchat
- E-Book 1 #kinderchat by Kinderchat
