I can hardly believe the school year is coming to a close in about a week! It has been a great year full of new learning for me and my students. I love to do end of the year projects where the kids can reflect on what they have done and learned. I often have them write and add their picture. This year, I wanted to come up with something new and knew a Tagxedo word cloud would be perfect.
I started by finding some number 4 images online. You could have the students select an image from within Tagxedo, but I wanted a 4 to represent fourth grade. I then saved the images to their laptops.
I showed the students how to upload their own image, add words, and change the theme, font, and layout. The kids loved this activity and were very creative in their word choice.
Check out these links if you want to know more about uploading images or creating word clouds in Tagxedo.
These word clouds would work for many grade levels or even a great end of the year class project.
