I am always looking for sites teachers can use with only a projector and laptop. I project onto a "regular" whiteboard for all my lessons and love it. I can write on the board on top of whatever I'm projecting...but more importantly the kids can too! While I wish I had an interactive whiteboard, I can still get the most out of my projector.
The McGraw Hill Virtual Manipulatives are a great way to utilize a laptop and projector. Students love to come up with a pointer and show me what to click on. Sure it's not as fancy as an interactive whiteboard but it does the trick.
Teachers or students can choose the grade level, background/workmat, and type of manipulative they want to use. There are also text and drawing tools. I could easily see this used by having the "helper" of the day creating a math problem for everyone to solve. I would love to hear your ideas for using virtual manipulatives!
I love this!!!!!

Never thought of getting virtual or computerized Manipulatives . Anything that can help kids learn math in a fun way is something that I would be interested in!
