I love how the keyboard is color coded for the left and right hands. I placed a pink dot sticker on the left hand of each student. Then, I encouraged them to use their "pink hand" and "blue hand" to press the keys.
I also created some sight word cards with keyboards on them. I color coded the corresponding keys in pink and blue to match the Keyboard Zoo. I plan to print and laminate these into practice cards for use in KidPix, Kidspiration, and Word. I also created a full page sheet with basic punctuation.
I am excited to try these out with the kids!
Do you have a favorite keyboarding activity for young students? I would love to hear about it!
